Helping a Sydney startup make waves in the hair and beauty industry
Piloroo is a platform that enables salons in Sydney to train and recruit their teams.
With the business expanding into other cities, the founders wanted to recruit new salon staff; they also wanted to showcase their refreshed brand identity.

Collaborating closely with the client and a video editor, I conceptualised and created key content for the campaign including a brand animation and a series of live action interview clips.
The animation
We worked closely with the business owners to come up with an animation concept and script that would engage the young target audience while fulfilling the business targets for the content (and keeping the investors happy!).

The script and concept were produced in close collaboration with the client.

From sketch to storyboard to social asset.
Piloroo Stories
For the interviews, the distance between London and Sydney meant art direction from afar – while iterating on the visual elements, we also put together a comprehensive checklist guiding our client through the process of shooting a talking heads interview.

Working remotely, I put together a detailed shoot guide for the client to use for the interview.

While we experimented with different cuts of the video, we also iterated on different uses of Piloroo brand devices.

After planning and obtaining interviews filmed by the client (left), I added brand elements (centre) and experimented with different cuts to make the content accessible and engaging (right).
