Together with Beyond Refuge, I was commissioned by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees to produce a series of educational animations aimed at secondary school students in Europe, which introduce concepts such as forced migration, internal displacement and refugee status.
As the design lead for this project, I was responsible for establishing a visual system that provided a consistent look and feel to these animations, but also a wider set of classroom materials.
Based on a brief from an Education Officer at the UNHCR, I carried out an initial research phase to create an identity giving the project a distinctive voice, while keeping it in line with the wider UNHCR brand. This resulted a guideline document which would act as a visual and tone of voice reference for producing related educational assets and presentation materials.
